MEXICO: Folklore Ballet American School
Coming to the Festival from our southern neighbor Mexico are young dancers from the Folklore Ballet American School in the city of Puebla. These children, ages 8-14, will perform prehispanic dances and folk dances from various Mexican regions. In traditionally elaborate and colorful costumes, the dancers will present an exciting variety of regional dances, many dating back to ancient Mexican mythology.
POLAND: Folk Song and Dance Ensemble LUBLIN
The Festival is proud to welcome for the first time a youth performing group from Poland. From the city of Lublin, comes the young Folk Song and Dance Ensemble LUBLIN. These children, ages 12-15, represent their proud heritage and will delight American audiences with traditional dances accompanied by their own musicians.
